Just Lately ~ Sleep Doctor’s, Endocrinologist, Gynocologists, Dermatologist, Eye Doctors and More

Yes, AND MORE. Can you believe that? I have sleep apnea but it is under control. But there are other issues that are affecting my sleep. Did you know that there were other things that can be considered medical issues? For instance, the fact that I dream so vividly that sometimes when I wake up, I try to go back to sleep real quick in hopes continuing a dream that was real good. And, sometimes I am successful. Not often but even more odd is that sometimes I stay awake long enough to go to the bathroom or get something to drink and when I go back to sleep, wa–la, dream continued. Anyway, that’s not a medical issue, or at least I don’t think it is. But apparently there are things that medical and I’m having a second sleep study next week to see if I have any of those.

In the meantime, I have been ordered to see the GYN since I haven’t seen one in….oh about 20 years. I have thyroid issues and blood sugar issues so off to the endocrinologist….even though both of those are controlled by my general practitioner. Throw in some age spots that look questionable and off to the dermatologist I go.

But, here is the kicker. I went to the eye doctor for glasses and I came out with a referral to a cataract surgeon. I’m not kidding. I am 56 years old and everyone in that office knows that now because the doctor was astounded that someone so “young” had an issue with cataracts. And so, off to the cataract specialist I go.

Sounds like Jerri Ann is growing old eh?
