I don’t remember if I told you about the day I fell in the shower but let’s just leave it at that ok. I was getting out, lost my balance and fell. I did not slip. But that’s that.
But let me tell you what happened today. I was walking, in sensible shoes because really that’s all I own, and I stepped on a place where the parking lot met the sidewalk and it also intersected with a plant bed. My angle has a plate and 4 screws in it and twisting my ankle has not been a reality there since 2009. But, I’m here to tell you, it gave way and while I didn’t actually twist my ankle, it was enough pressure that I fell. I hit the concrete hard on my other knew.
I am pretty adept at falling and especially twisting my ankles so I landed on my “good” knee and managed to let the fall cause me to roll instead of just a harsh impact. So, thankfully no broken bones but I could still barely walk. Why? because every bone that you can think of in a lil’ ol’ lady that might not handle a fall very well is sore. My knee isn’t injured but that big scrape just outright hurts. My hips are sore and my back feels like someone slammed me….well into the sidwakl.
Enough whining. Just letting you know, this girl is getting old.
